This heavyweight transport trailer range is built to an extremely high standard. As with all HM trailers, the HM Trailers Beavertail range is shot blasted prior to painting, followed by 2-pack epoxy primer & 2-pack polyurethane top coat.
Chassis – HM hydraulic beavertail low loaders are built on a 250 x 150 box section chassis, cross ribbed with box section across the top of the chassis to offer full support to the side rails allowing wide loads to be carried. This woven structure forms a strong and rigid chassis for these long trailers.
Running Gear – Standard running gear is heavy-duty agricultural axles with all-wheel braking. These are then mounted on new 215/75 R 17.5 twin wheels. Upgrading to high-speed axles with an air/oil braking system is available, along with various wheel & tyre options.
Standard Build – The floor is made from 4.5 – 6mm durbar as standard. Hardwood timber is available on request. Our trailers have numerous tying points for both rope and ratchets, with an additional strong chain securing points over the axles where heavier loads should be secured, such as heavy plant. Additional point or specialist securing points can be added on request.
Beavertail – Two individual ramps are not required as the rear 8-foot section is lowered to the floor by hydraulic rams. This trailer can therefore accommodate any track width of machines. The ability to raise the beavertail removes the risk of bottoming the rear of the trailer when going in and out of fields.
Axle Configuration – Twin Axle – Minimum 30-foot bed length or Tri Axle – Minimum 32-foot bed length
HM Trailers offer a whole host of optional extras too!
